VF Kitchen: Tofu With Vinita Contractor

Ingredients

Juice of 1 Lemon

Soaked Soyabeans (Preferably Organic and non-GMO)

Blender

500 ml Water

Stove

Material for Sieving

Method:

For Soy Milk:

  • Remove the skin from soaked soyabeans (as much as possible)
  • Transfer soyabeans to blender 
  • For 1/2 cup soyabeans, use 400 ml water (Do in two different blends, half and half)
  • Blend the mixture
  • Use old Muslin Cloth or Nut Milk bag to Sieve
  • Boil the thick soy milk

 

For Tofu : 

  • Add Juice of 1 Lemon to Soy Milk to Curdle
  • Pour the curdled soy milk into the sieve 
  • Leave it for atleast 4-5 hours for it to completely set
  • Tofu is Ready
