“I have been religious my whole life. Who knew this would motivate me to go vegan? Something that I live and breathe now.”

Every vegan has a moving story. The story of Daisy, who runs Loving Hut, an all-vegan cafe in Gurgaon, is an incredible one. Daisy Pruthi comes from a Sikh family and has been a hardcore non-vegetarian most of her life.

THE VEGAN JOURNEY YOU'D LOVE TO KNOW

“It was 12 years back when I first picked up a book of my Guru Ji, Supreme Master Ching Hai. There was something about her that pulled me to her. I am very well aware of positive and negative energies, and when I read a few lines from her discourse, I knew I had to see her, meet her in person,” says Daisy.

Who knew this could be the turning point in Daisy’s life? The first thing she had to do to become her master’s disciple was to go vegan. This was one of the precepts to be her follower. The mantra was simple, no harm to any living being. Be it a human or an animal. Though Daisy had three months to explore and embrace veganism, her decision was overnight, for she knew she had to walk this path for the animals and for herself conscience.

Before being a part of Loving Hut, Daisy was a principal and a coordinator for an educational institution and a content writer. Her journey in academics was going well, but she was more drawn towards spiritualism. She spent most of her time meditating and finding peace.

THE STORY OF LOVING HUT - A VEGAN PARADISE INDEED

On one of her visits to Taiwan, Daisy found it challenging to find good vegan food. This made her want to be a part of Loving Hut, a chain of restaurants that presently has around 350 outlets across the globe. Back in India, Daisy slowly moved away from her academic career and started exploring something new - a recipe developer.

It took one and a half years to develop the recipes you now find in Daisy’s Loving Hut. The restaurant presently has 13 chefs, and they hope to add more to explore the possibilities of vegan food. “I make sure every recipe is at least 19/20 before it gets added to the menu. I consider myself a mere instrument in this journey that has been chosen to make this world a better place.”

“We have cracked almost all non-vegetarian dishes. Be it sausages or butter chicken, fish or ham; you name it, we got it covered. I have always been a high aimer, and I next aspire to make wedding sweet boxes where people can easily find vegan sweets for any occasion,” mentions Daisy.

A BIGGER VISION TO  MAKE VEGAN DELICACIES AVAILABLE FOR ALL

Her vision was big from day 1. Every day before sleep, she silently prays for the sufferings of all the animals. She lives and breathes veganism and believes it to be her written destiny. Indirectly or directly, one should not be the cause of any other being’s death. She wanted a powerful platform to spread this message and take it out to the crowd.

“This was when I decided to reach out to VeganFirst to help me spread this message.”

Her stance on veganism is very strong, and every day she works to make it only better and best. Daisy was diagnosed with arthritis at 30 when she was still drinking milk every day. She couldn’t bend or be active. Now 59, Daisy feels her body is cleansed and is better than before. While many suffer from blood pressure, she is free of such ailments.

ANYTHING YOU EAT NON-VEGAN, LOVING HUT CAN MAKE IT VEGAN!

Her motivation to start Loving Hut was very simple - To be kinder to animals and never see them as commodities. Anything you eat non-vegan, Loving Hut can make it vegan. Chycken Korma, Fysh coconut gravy, Vegan Keema, Saag Chycken, Garlic Augli Chycken are some of the very few dishes to mention. Their Gulaab Jamun is a hot-selling dish, and you must try it out.
