High profile Italian Fashion designer  Donatella Versace has just publicly announced that she and her brand will no longer use fur in their fashion chains of apparel, accessories, and perfumes. Versace tells magazine ‘I don’t want to kill animals to make fashion, It doesn’t feel right.” Now with such an influential personality giving statements like this, it will definitely inspire fashion enthusiasts all over the world to also feel the same way.

Versace now joins the list of other top fashion brands like Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Armani and Ralph Lauren who've already ditched fur in their collections. This brave stance by leading fashion chains on the subject of animal rights will definitely impact the worldwide vegan movement in a positive way. It can't be overstated that animals in fur-farms endure shocking amounts of cruelty and suffering and we as ethical and compassionate human beings can make better choices, especially when it comes to something like fashion.

According to OneGreenPlanet, In a recent interview with Luke Leitch, Donatella said, “Fur? I’m out of that. I don’t want to kill animals to make fashion. It doesn’t feel right.” This is such amazing news! We congratulate Versace for choosing to be cruelty-free henceforth
