Jubliant Foods Backed Mister Veg Opens First Outlet In Faridabad

Mister Veg, a plant-based meat alternatives start-up from Faridabad has opened its first outlet.

The outlet based in Faridabad will serve all of the Mister Veg products like their plant-based meat alternatives- Pomfret, Afghani Chick’n and Chick’n Tikka.

Simarjeet Singh, Founder Director & CEO of Mister Veg Foods announced the opening and said, “after completion of shifting into a new plant, we opened our first outlet… we are trying our best to spread plant-based delicious dishes direct to the customer in most cost-effective & tasteful manner”

Mister Veg Foods was backed by Jubilant Ingrevia in early 2021 when they entered a shareholder agreement to raise Rs.4.25 crores. The capital was to be used to expand their distribution channels across the country.

Mister Veg was also selected to be part of the ProVeg incubator program, which is the world’s first incubator for plant-based and cultured food startups. The program offered a €20,000 grant to each selected startup and a chance for seed investment in the future, ranging from €30,000 to €180,000.

Mister Veg offers plant-based mock meats as well as mock seafood made from grains. They have a special technology to produce preservative-free mock meats and ready-to-eat meals. The food has a shelf life of one year and is able to retain its flavour and nutritional value with their technology. Currently on their website, Mister Veg sells flavoured vegan mock meats like butter chicken, tawa chicken and mutton curry. They were also the first company in India to make and sell vegan fish alternatives.
