Oatly Introduces Vegan Soft Serves In Collaboration With 16 Handles In The U.S.

With Swedish oat drink brand Oatly’s growing popularity in the past year, the company has partnered with the brand 16 Handles to launch vegan soft serve ice creams in the U.S. The ice cream chain already offers certain dairy-free options and will offer Oatly’s ice creams across 30 stores.
The brands have collaborated to launch four flavours - Iced Latte, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Chai Tea. The first two have already launched while the rest will enter the stores in July.
“If you know 16 Handles, you know we’ve been adding non-dairy flavors to our library for years, because we’re all about inclusivity. Just because dairy isn’t your friend doesn’t mean soft serve can’t be. If you know Oatly, you know that nobody’s doing oats better. So, when we got the chance to come together and launch Oatly’s creamy, decadent, flavorful soft serve for a magical summer of dairy-free deliciousness, we said YES—in all capital letters, just like that,” commented 16 Handles.
Oatly, which counts influential names like Oprah Winfrey and Natalie Portman as investors, has seen rapid expansion in the past year. The company went public in May and raised $13 billion on the first day, and has also started percolating the Asian market with partnerships with Starbucks India and several other baristas.
