Chennai has a new cozy little café that serves up falafel, hummus and other Middle Eastern delights – Tamu Tamu!

What

Tamu Tamu is a small Greek, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired eatery that serves healthy vegan food. Owned and operated by a vegan, the entire menu consists of dairy and meat-free options.

Located in the heart of Chennai, Tamu Tamu is on Cathedral Road, opposite Stella Maris college.

You’ll find all your favourites from the region, including:

  • Falafel
  • Hummus
  • Baklava
  • Turkish coffee

FYI, their pita bread is made fresh in-house everyday, that too, without any refined flour! They also have protein and calcium-rich meal boxes consisting of falafels, grilled and sautéed veggies and hummus. And the best part is that everything is vegan and pocket-friendly!
