In collaboration with plant-based foods firm BVeg Foods, India's popular snack brand Haldiram's is planning to debut new plant-based Keema Pao and Keema Samosa. The company that traditionally develops namkeens, sweets, western snacks, and ready-to-eat food ranges are now willing to venture and experiment with plant-based snack choices in order to explore the plant protein market. Haldiram's will release two items in partnership with B-Veg Foods: the Keema Pao and Keema Samosas.

Haldiram's has been in business for a long time and is known for the high quality of the foods they sell. Many brands are collaborating with plant-based food firms to offer a variety of food products in response to the growing demand for plant-based alternatives. Haldiram's is now making a foray into the market by partnering with BVeg foods.

This year, the two new products will be introduced as part of Haldiram's winter special. These will be available in 80 restaurants across northern India. This is BVeg Foods' second major achievement, following their recent triumph with their 24 Seven convenience store business.

BVeg Foods aims to become a one-stop solution for anyone who thinks of plant-based foods. Speaking about this, BVeg Foods founders, Akanksha and Prateek Ghai said of the launch - "Haldiram’s has always been a family favourite with a long heritage of catering to every age group – from the eldest in the family to the youngest. It gives us immense joy to associate with such a pioneering brand and together we believe we can bring protein to the centre of the plate along with a smile to a lot of faces. Our product development and innovation teams have joined hands and gone all out to ensure the products resonate with consumers’ all-time favourites at Haldiram’s and we look forward to receiving the feedback of the people."

The Keema Pao and Keema Samosa are produced with the goodness of a blend of excellent ingredients and spices that highlight the native Indian flavours, keeping in mind the Indian taste profile. They are both lip-smacking and delectable, as well as guilt-free. The Indian Research Bureau discovered in one of their research that protein insufficiency is still a serious issue in India, and that rural per capita protein consumption is falling. Furthermore, 93% of the population has no idea how much protein they need on a daily basis.

Beyond this exciting debut, BVeg Foods plans to introduce its products through new channels in the coming months, and customers can expect to see even more of the diverse product developments and partnerships in the near future. When it comes to experimenting with plant-based alternatives, we can't wait to discover what else is in store.
