‘Dairy is beef’: A Webseries on Dairy Industry

The reality behind the dairy industry is not hidden. A web series named ‘Dairy is Beef’ was recently launched by United for Compassion. The four-part series talks about milk and its effects. The series has been divided into four parts, each part discussing Ethics, Health, Environment and Ahimsa milk.

The short web series throws light on the hidden parts of dairy and the consequences of rising milk demand. “As a result of our addiction to dairy, we are supporting three major industries: dairy, beef and leather”, as stated in one of the videos of Dairy is beef.

While talking about the reason behind coming up with this web series, Harsha (one of the faces behind this web series) states, “We have no personal motives behind our mission except our only goal is Animal liberation and we want to tell the world factually, rationally and ethically that ‘Ahimsa milk’ will only create an illusion of saving the cow, but in reality – does no less harm than any dairy industry.”

She further added, “Our first part has come as a surprise to everyone and was an instant success among unbiased animal lovers, vegans, vegan activists and Jains. This helped us making the following 3 parts with more confidence. Each part involved lengthy discussions and research along with taking opinions from experts in that fields (whenever needed) to avoid any misinformation.”

Their videos have been shared on numerous pages and people. They’ve also come up with another series which focuses on the egg industry.
