Indian Mock Meat Brand Gooddot Enters Global Market- Expands to Dubai, Nepal, South Africa & Canada

Founded in 2016 by Abhishek Sinha, the company was an initiative to familiarize Indian consumers with plant-based alternative protein. Their products are developed to meet the demands of an average Indian consumer, both vegan and non-vegan. The taste and variety of their mock meats is authentic and fits the traditional Indian cuisine profile.

In October, the company opened its first food outlet in Delhi called ‘Gooddo’. It is a hit among Delhi vegans with its extensive menu of delicious Indian cuisines including vegan versions of butter chicken and multiple vegan paneer dishes. 

They have now expanded operations to the Middle East, South Africa, Canada, and Nepal. Gooddot has opened a Gooddo Kiosk in Kathmandu, Nepal which has received a big thumbs up from locals. In Dubai, Gooddot’s famous bytz and proteiz are available in the Just Vegan Café and ILA Café.  The brand had already launched their biryani and pulao in Canada, and will be introducing new products in collaboration with Toronto's Just Like Meat. Gooddot will soon be debuting its vegan biryani in South Africa as well as expanding to Singapore in the near future.

The rise of public health concerns along with the alarming rate of greenhouse gas emissions by the animal agriculture industry is making consumers more careful about their food choices. Everyday more and more people are opting for a healthy and sustainable plant-based diet. With the global expansion of Gooddot, the day isn’t far when mock meat replaces animal meat in most of the mainstream joints.
