Winning three International titles back to back has set a new national record by Sagle. The youngster played his last International in Paris. That was where he gallantly defended his title at theInternational championship, which is an admirable feat for the man who has been playing tennis for just over 15 years. Speaking of his win and his lifestyle the venerated athlete says, “If you want to be in the competition, then sports practice, planned exercise, properly balanced diet are important.”

Just like every powerful sportsperson, he insists on a strong fitness regimen and optimal nutrition which he gains through plant-based foods. As a die-hard vegan, Vishwajeet believes that a vegan diet helps him to achieve his tennis dreams.

More about Sagle’s plant-based journey

The 24-year-old athlete is also India’s first vegan tennis player who rose to acclaim globally by representing India in multiple international games. It was from 2017 that Vishwajeet followed a vegan diet. Sagle who newly transitioned to a plant-based diet is also linked with several recognized vegan brands. As the brand ambassador of many celebrated brands right from Good Mylk to Origin Nutrition, he is doing his bit to encourage people to try the vegan way of life.

Sharing his two cents on the importance of veganism, Sangle said, ‘’Humanity is depleting the planet’s finite resources at a rapid rate, the environment is undergoing drastic, unnecessary and unpredictable changes, and people suffer from myriad diseases linked to their diets. You can’t fix all that by embracing veganism, but you can be one solution.’’

The tennis star has moved to Mumbai for the past few years to further his sporting career. He is currently preparing for the upcoming World Championship which will happen in September.
