Here are some tried and tested methods on how to use epigamia’s plant-based drinks in your daily routine:

 

1. For a quick and easy breakfast -

 

Cereal is the go-to breakfast option for many because of its simplicity and how quickly one can put it together. Now with the availability of tasty and nutritious plant-based milks, you can start your day with a healthy and energising cereal which has the goodness of berries, cereal, and power-packed seeds. 

To make a wholesome breakfast cereal, follow this recipe -

 

Ingredients:

 

- 1 cup of oats/ muesli/ cornflakes 

- 1 cup of epigamia Oat Beverage Classic

- 1/2 cup of fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

- 1 tablespoon of agave syrup or maple syrup (for sweetness, optional)

 

 

Method:

 

Step 1. Choose a cereal like oats, cornflakes, or granola. 

Step 2. Wash and chop your mixed berries, or use them whole. Berries add a burst of freshness and tanginess to your cereal.

Step 3. Mix the Cereal: In a bowl, combine cornflakes, oats or muesli with the fresh mixed berries. If you like it sweet, drizzle date syrup or maple syrup over the mixture and stir gently.

Step 4. Now gently pour a cup of epigamia Oat Beverage Classic into the bowl.  

Step 5. Sprinkle chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, or hemp seeds for that extra kick of nutrition to your morning meal.

2. For a filling milkshake -

If you lead a busy life, milkshakes and smoothies can be your saviour for hunger pangs between meals. The nutrient-packed blend also adds variety to your palate with a delicious drinkable mixture. Try this recipe at home - 

Ingredients:

 

- 1 cup of epigamia Almond Drink

- 2 ripe bananas

- 2 tablespoons of almond butter

- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, date syrup, or jaggery

- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

- 4-5 ice cubes

 

 

Method:

 

Step 1. Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into chunks. 

Step 2. In a blender, add the sliced bananas, epigamia Almond Drink, almond butter, sweetener, vanilla extract, and ice cubes. Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth, creamy texture.
Step 3. Pour into a big mug, and chug!

3. For your morning tea -

Making your favourite wake-me-up beverage plant-based is now easier than ever! epigamia Almond Drink lends itself effortlessly to traditional chai, and epigamia Oat Beverage Classic makes a fantastic companion for hot and cold coffees. 

 

To make tea, you need -

 

Ingredients:

 

- 1 cup of water

- 1-2 teaspoons tea leaves

- 1 cup of epigamia Almond Drink

- 1 cardamom pod, lightly crushed

- 2-3 whole cloves

- A pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)

- 1 small piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced 

- Sugar to taste

 

 

Method:

 

Step 1. In a saucepan, add the water, cardamom pods, whole cloves, and crushed ginger. Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer for a few minutes to infuse the spices.

Step 2. Add the tea leaves and let it simmer for a minute or two.

Step 3. Pour epigamia Almond Drink, and stir well to combine the milk and spices.

Step 4. Add sugar to taste.

Step 5. Strain using a strainer, and pour the hot chai into your cup.

4. For Sumptuous Indian Desserts 

 

This festive season, indulge yourself in desserts that you missed by using epigamia’s Almond and Oat drinks to replace dairy milk in the original recipes. epigamia Almond drink is best suited for a nutty Shrikhand and epigamia Oat Beverage Classic is best suited for making a luxurious Kheer thanks to its creamy texture and high resistance to heat.

 

To make a vegan Shrikhand, follow this recipe -

 

 

Ingredients:

 

- 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk yoghurt

- 1/2 cup epigamia Almond Drink

- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

- 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder

- Saffron strands for garnish

- Chopped almonds, and pistachios

 

 

Method:

 

Step 1. Strain the dairy-free yoghurt to remove excess water. You can use a muslin cloth or a fine-mesh strainer. Allow it to sit for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

Step 2. Mix the strained dairy-free yoghurt with almond milk in a mixing bowl.

Step 3. Add sugar and cardamom powder to the mixture. Blend/ whisk well until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.

Step 4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate it for a couple of hours.

Step 5. Before serving, garnish the Shrikhand with saffron strands and chopped nuts.

5. For Pasta sauce 

At the Vegan First kitchen we recently cooked up a delicious Mushroom Stroganoff Pasta (in white sauce) using epigamia Oat Beverage Classic and the result was an umami, flavourful, filling meal for two! Follow this recipe -

 

 

Ingredients:

 

- 200 g mushrooms

- Some garlic cloves

- Two onions

- Rosemary.

- Chilli flakes and oregano

- 200-400 g boiled pasta

- 3 to 4 tablespoons of cornstarch or maida

- 4 tbsp of oil

- Paprika, salt, and pepper

- Nutritional yeast

- 200 - 300 mL epigamia Oat Beverage Classic

 

 

Method: 

 

Step 1. Boil water, add salt, add the pasta and let them cook for 10-12 minutes. 

Step 2. While this boils, chop the onions, spring onions, and garlic cloves finely. These will be used to make the sauce.

Step 3. Pour vegetable oil in a pan. When it's slightly heated, add the garlic. Now add in all of your onions slowly and stir until everything becomes golden brown. 

Step 4. Add the mushrooms, paprika, pepper, and salt. The salt will make the mushrooms lose water. Let the water reduce.

Step 5. Once it has reduced, add cornstarch or flour to the mix. Make sure the mushrooms are well-coated.

Step 6. Add in the flavoursome veggie broth, a generous amount of nutritional yeast, a little oregano, and chilli flakes. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes. 

Step 7. To add creaminess to the sauce, pour 200-300 ml of epigamia Oat Beverage Classic into the pan. Let it cook for a minute or two. 

Step 8. Now add in the boiled pasta, spring onions, and rosemary and stir well. Your creamy mushroom stroganoff pasta is ready!
